Carol graciously agreed to help me birth my first child when I was 34 weeks pregnant- give or take a week. I had just toured our local hospital birthing wing and emphatically declared, “I am not having my baby here!” She was amazing, warm, calm, skilled, matter-of-fact, and made me feel incredibly powerful as I was birthing my son. I am so grateful for the experience to birth Alex at home and to have Carol’s help.
