Carol was so lovingly tender and fiercely present at the same time. I always felt this was her superpower, coupled with incredible skill to help a birthing mother come through one of the most life-changing events of their lives. Carol was my midwife for the birth of my two daughters. The first birth started at home and ended up at Porter with a Cesaraen and my husband was the first father they ever let into the OR, all because of Carol’s advocacy. My second daughter was a VBAC at home. There are not enough words of deepest appreciation forever etched in my heart. Carol leaves a legacy of inspiration and love for all of those who were of good fortune to have known her.
